EQ Bank is a online digital bank which offers multiple types of high interest saving accounts, including
- Savings Plus account
- USD saving account
- RRSP saving account and
- TFSA saving account
The saving interest rate for Canadian dollars is now sitting at 1.25% (see first pic below), which is pretty good compared to other Canadian major banks. Best part is that, this rate is not a temporary promotional type, meaning it would always be there unless the prime rate significantly changes.
EQ Bank also provides even higher interest rates for GIC’s in these type of accounts as well, for example the 3-month or 6 month term GIC rate is 2.05% as of 2022-02-24.
